Master Gardeners January Meeting

Call to Order

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Al Winkeler.

Secretary’s Report- Minutes were approved and available on line.

Treasurer’s Report- Joe Walker reported balance in our account for January is $8833.24.

MU Extension Report – Rich Hoormann is now working as our Horticulture Specialist Program Coordinator in St. Charles County Extension Office.

Committee Reports

Meetings- Val Mertz advised she has speakers through May. Needs ideas for more, please let her know if you have something.
Membership- Waneta Parmenter was absent. Mary Medina presented awards out to people who were not present at January meeting
Hortline- Patti Kolek not present. More to come for volunteers in March.
Education- Mary Medina- Dig In is Saturday February 27. Set up Friday, February 26, 2016. Come in and help if available. She says thanks to all that are speaking at Dig In.
Demonstration Gardens- Mary Carey- Garden Leads Meeting March 5, 2016, Room B at 9:00 AM.

New Business

Meeting Facilitators- Sharon Hedges. Not present. We had two meeting facilitators to volunteer for March meeting.
Plants Sale – Mary Medina. Green House plans under way. Cool Season plant sale March 12, 2016. Big Plant Sale April 30, 2016.
2016 Financial Plan- Joe Walker. Still being worked on.
