Become a Certified Master Gardener
2024 in-person Core Training Program
Where: Univ. of Mo. Extension at 260 Brown Road in St Peters, MO 63376.
When: Each Thursday morning starting Jan. 18, 2024 thru April 25
Class Time: From 9am until noon
Cost: The total cost to attend the classes is $200 per person, payable in advance
Registration Begins: November 1, 2023 (Click here to register)
Class Size: Will be limited to approximately 40 people.

Are you interested in gardening and horticulture? We welcome participants with all levels of gardening experience.

Can you make a commitment to the program – classroom training plus flexible volunteer hours during the year?
Master Gardeners make a difference by sharing gardening best practices and volunteering their time and expertise as volunteers and consultants in projects such as school and community gardens, educational programs, and farmers markets.
What you can expect from Master Gardener Certification Training:

Fifteen weeks of in-person classroom instruction and quizzes by university and industry professionals, providing a broad overview of topics that will help students establish a diverse base of horticulture knowledge

Your own personal 230-page resource manual

Opportunities to meet new people, network, and share ideas and information with fellow students

An overview of the volunteer opportunities at the St Peters Extension Demonstration Gardens. In addition to attending the classes, certification requires hands-on experience obtained through a commitment to fulfill volunteer requirements in the Extension Center Demonstration Gardens

You will also get a chance to meet current existing Master Gardener Chapter members. The Master Gardeners of St Charles County is an active group full of great members who are excited to meet you!
